So Many Things to Celebrate!

1. The first celebration took place on Saturday, it was Bub's birthday. (Bub is my grandma, we called her Bub/Bubble ever since we were little because she ALWAYS had bubble gum for us. Some of the younger grandkids are embarassed to call her Bub in public, but I am a loyal granddaughter and will call her Bub forever.) Anyways, it was her birthday and time to celebrate. First the girls all went to the "What Women Want Expo", it was so much fun, there was discounted jeans, Botox injections, and lots of other fun things to buy, all geared towards women. Then we headed over to Fudruckers (it may sound like a bad word but I promise it's not) we all stuffed ourselves with burgers, shakes and fries. Notice the picture below! We then walked it off and did some shopping. Bub wanted to go into Barnes and Nobles, and as she was walking in the doors my Aunt Christine yelled out "I don't like that store it makes me feel STUPID"--that had to be my favorite quote of the day. We topped the day off with some not so much needed ice cream, but we did it anyway. It was so fun to be with my aunts, bub, and David and Meggan!

Don't you love Davids face!

2. Now the second thing to celebrate is I FINISHED ALL MY FINALS! and I passed all my classes!!! The semester is officially over, I couldn't be more glad. Overall they went well, I ended up getting the worst grade in my Religion class, SO LAME! I loved my teacher, but it bugs me when they make religion so tricky. Who would have thought I would do better in Stats than the Old Testament. I had a class that will forever change my life, it was all about Work and Relationships in the home. My teacher Dr. Jenet Jacobs is an amazing women who is so inspiring, I learned the value and deep meaning of working together in the home, my future kids will probably not be appreciative of this class but I sure am! I also had a class that was not so great, it happened to be Marriage Enhancement haha! THe teacher was definately on the creepy side who gave to much info about his personal life! EWWW!! But now I am just glad to be done, 1 step closer to graduation! Only a 6 week semester of Floral Design, Food Preparation and Infant Development and I am done!!! But for now I am focusing on the fact that I have no responsibilities for the next week!
3. Its warm...finally! After having a blizzard last week I couldn't be more grateful for warm weather, but with warm weather brings the sun, and the sun brings sunburns! I studied outside for 2 hrs and fried my legs and arms! Its so bad, I always underestimate the strength of the sun! But I couldn't resist, it felt so good, I hadn't felt the sun in so long! So hopefully I didn't get skin cancer in my pursuit to look good for Chad. Which leads me to the fourth celebration...
4. And the best of all... I get to see Chad today!!! I can't sleep I am so excited! It has been almost 3 weeks, I can't believe how fast it has gone. And I can't believe I am saying that! But it really has flown by. I leave this afternoon and get in at night! I feel kinda like we are dating again, all the talking on the phone, saying how much we miss and love each other! It really has made me appreciate being with him. Hopefully his roommates won't get annoyed with us! That is another reason why I feel like we are dating is because he has roommates, hopefully it won't be too weird living with 3 guys this week. I'm not really worried about it, cause I know that its going to be so awesome! Well I really should get to bed now, tonight Chad kept reminding me to wake up early so I give myself plenty of time to get to the airport. I have a history of missing flights, so now I am OCD about getting there with ample amount of time. Next time I post it will be about my trip, SO EXCITED!

Not another goodbye!

Yesterday I went up to Salt Lake to see my sister before she goes back up to Rexburg for school today. We went out to eat at Cafe Rio, I decided I didn't want to say goodbye yet so I went up to the house with her to hang out for a little while. I decided to just stay the night instead of coming home to an empty house. We stayed up and talked, watched Survivor, I attempted to study for the SIX finals I have, and then went to bed. When I woke up this morning she was making heart-shaped eggs benedict...SO GOOD! I have loved having her here in Salt Lake the last couple months, its so nice to have family around, wish she was going to be here over the summer but oh well! Now I am off to study for the next 5 days of my life!!!!

A Blizzard...Really??

Well I woke up this morning to a BLIZZARD! Isn't it April, and Springtime? Then why does it look like the middle of winter??? The answer: because its Utah! And winter drags on here! Monday was such a beautiful day, I wore a short sleeve shirt and flip flops and took a nap outside in the grass. I can't believe that in two days the weather could change SO much. But at least the sememster ended yesterday and I don't have to go to school in this craziness! I just have my finals to do and then I get to see Chad in 1 WEEK! I cannot wait to see him. I do miss him but I have adjusted to being alone quite well. We talk and text throughout the day probably more than when he was here. Here are a few pictures of things that I have been doing since Chad has been gone.

First, I took this picutre out my window just a few minutes ago so you can see I am not exagerating.

This is the vegetable basket that my grandma, Alyssa and I made on Easter. Easter weekend was really fun, the 3 of us headed out to my Aunt Christine's house and we all got our hair done, talked girl talk till late in the night, and topped it off with my Uncle Shaun bringing us home ice cream. I then went to church with Alyssa to protect her from this weirdo that likes her! I didn't do to god of a job because he found her and she had to talk to him. After that we came home and made this creation (notice the hickama is in the shape of bunnies) we also had ham, funeral potatoes, and for dessert my grandma made Better than Sex cake, I ate 3 huge pieces and it was SO good, I definately appreciated it!
Here we are so proud of the Easter vegetable presentation! Doesn't my grandma look so good!!!
Me, Lisa, and Lindsay went to CPK for a girls night, unfortunately Lindsay had to take the pic, but she was definately there. I love getting together with my girlfriends, and eating good food!

I Survived the First 24 Hours!

It has been approximately 24 hours now since Chad left to Oklahoma City. He will be there this summer managing a team of guys for Security One while I had to stay behind and finish school. This was a really tough decision for us to be apart for the summer but we both know that it is going to be a great thing for us in the end. I wanted to have a smile on my face as I said goodbye to him but unfortunately that wasn't possible, I balled as he left. And then right after I had to go to my Marriage Enhancement class, that sure didn't help my emotions. My goal is to stay busy so that time passes faster. Here are some of my plans:
1. I got a gym membership so I can work out
2. School
3. Start playing volleyball again
4. Hang out with girlfriends
5. Get a job (maybe)
6. Read (any book suggestions?)
7. Visit family, both here and in Utah
8. Come up with a new hobby, not sure what it will be yet so if you have suggestions on this too let me know!
So I don't have as many plans as I hoped for but I know that school keeps me pretty busy, and I am lucky to have great friends and family here in Utah that are willing to let me come and hang out with them (even on their date nights!). I am already counting down the days until I get to visit Chad in Oklahoma: just two weeks! He is such an amazing husband, willing to sacrifice his summer so we can get ahead financially. I know its going to get easier without him, not that I wont miss him but just used to the situation. But if anyone wants a girls night, or is visiting Utah for the next couple months let me know I would love to get together.

Birthdays and Park City

So now to this weekend...on Friday night my friend Alexandra turned 21! I just had to give a shout out to her, we have been friends since Achievement Day years, which would be about 10 years! I have had so much fun with her over the years, I always know I am gonna have a good time when I am with her! For example, her birthday dinner was at Chuck-a-Rama only Alexandra could pull that one off and get all her friends to come join!

Here's the home town gang + Lisa's huband, Matt. They are such newlyweds I love it! (of course this is coming from me the pro-married for 1.5+ years jk)
Now on to Saturday, Chad and I just wanted to spend the day together, once again forget about work and school and act like we have no real responsibility for the day. We decided to go to Park City since the weather was going to be nice enough for flip-flops. We shopped ALL day long! We went through all of the outlets, walked the whole Main Street, ate at our favorite restaurant up there called Bandits, and then we even stopped at the mall on our way home. But guess what? I didn't buy one thing, I thought about getting this hat in the picture but ended up talking myself out of it, as usual. It was good to be outside, get some exercise and enjoy being together.
This is the best b-b-q ever! I'm not a huge bbq fan but when we go to Park City we always make sure that we stop in here!

Back to the old stomping grounds!

So it has been a while since I have updated the blog, but I have some extra time today to catch up on what we have been up to lately. I figured I'm gonna make a different post for each thing we have done its easier to upload pictures a few at a time. So two weeks ago we went back to Rexburg! We were only there for a few hours but that is all you need in Rexburg. This is a picture of the two of us maybe 2 months after we had been dating!

We walked around the gym where Chad used to get ready for football games, here is Chad stading with the Viking!
We then were able to meet up with one of my old and favorite roommates Dani! She is now married so it was good to meet her husband and see their place. I cannot believe how much has changed since we were actually going to school in Rexburg. The town is pretty much the same but campus is like a full fledged construction site. The other thing that hasn't changed is the weather. It is FREEZING there. I don't think I could ever go back, way too cold!

This is me and Dani at the end of our freshman year of college-April 2006
We went and saw the Rexburg temple and it is so pretty! When we were up there they had just put the Angel of Moroni on top, and now its been up and running! It was good to be back in Rexburg, its fun to go back and see how life still goes on even though we aren't there.

Weekend in St. George

We love to go on weekend trips to get away from work and school and just spend some time together. Even though I had four midterms to take Chad was able to convince me to put that aside and take off to St. George. Its so hard to say no to fun, I think about what am I going to remember more, studying for an exam or hanging out with my husband? Hanging out with Chad is always more memorable. So we packed up, got Chad a RedBull to give him wings to drive make the drive. We stay at his grandma's house there, unfortunately she wasn't there this weekend, so we ended up having the house to ourselves.
Of course In-N-Out was on the agenda (twice actually), it makes us feel like we are kind of in California. I felt like such a tourist though taking pictures at In-N-Out, hahah!

When we go down to St. George one of our favorite things to do is look at all the new homes. We went up to this area called Entrada, its a exclusive gated community that is literally built through the lava rock. The homes all blend into the surroundings it is so beautiful. I love the style of homes that are in St. George, I could see myself living there if we had to stay in Utah.

Overall we had a great weekend, it was a lot of fun to have Chad all to myself. He has been so busy with work lately it makes it nice to get out of our routine and forget about work and school for a few days.
